Before leaving, then she asked why I took a photo

diorama of six photographs printed on matt vinyl and mounted on wood, 15x10x11,4cm, 2025

A memory never comes alone. Neither does a photograph truly stand by itself. Photographs as portals to moments lost in time, preserved in our personal archives of experience.

Before leaving, then she asked why I took a photo is a diorama of photographs, each leading to another, in the size of photo album. This piece explores how memories cascade and connect, creating networks of experience beyond what any single image can contain.
